If you're looking for a reliable Filipino maid in Klang Valley or Selangor, AP Sands makes the process smooth and secure. All Filipino maids complete national basic training in the Philippines under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). This ensures they are well prepared for household duties before coming to Malaysia. After passing their assessment, they receive TESDA certification. Once in Malaysia, they undergo extra intensive training at the AP Sands Training Centre. This training focuses on Malaysian family needs, including childcare, elderly care, and household management. When employers hire through AP Sands, we collect a clear job description tailored to the family. This helps the maid understand her duties and allows us to train her specifically for that role. Our Filipino maids are skilled in English, well-trained, and committed to high standards of care. AP Sands helps you find the right helper for your home.

Why do Klang Valley Employers Trust Uswith their Filipino Maid Search?

We carefully screen every Filipino candidate before they begin their journey to Malaysia. Only qualified applicants who meet our criteria are accepted into our overseas training and assessment process in the Philippines. Each candidate goes through a thorough background verification, employment history check, and skills assessment to ensure only reliable and qualified helpers are being shortlisted. For example, on our strict criteria, we only accept applicants who have completed previous employment contracts without early termination and who do not have young children under three years old. This ensures commitment, professionalism, and overcome their homesickness.
The Government of Philippines enforces strict regulations to ensure that overseas workers are competent and well-prepared. All selected domestic helpers undergo comprehensive training under the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA). The program develops their skills and discipline to handle household tasks efficiently. After completing the required assessment, they are awarded official TESDA certification, confirming their readiness to work abroad.
Before deployment, AP Sands requests a detailed job description from each employer. This allows us to tailor the helper's final training to match the family's exact requirements. It ensures clarity for both the helper and the employer, leading to better performance and long-term satisfaction.
When they arrive in Malaysia, we provide additional intensive training at our local AP Sands Training Centre in Puchong. This local training focuses on real Malaysian household needs and daily home management. We also emphasise mindset preparation, ensuring our helpers are confident, responsible, and ready to integrate smoothly into their employer's home. Unready helpers will not be assigned to employers. Those who are not prepared to work will be sent back to their home country.
We collaborate with confinement centres in Malaysia to support employers with newborn babies. Our maids receive additional intensive training focused on newborn care. This helps them understand how Malaysian employers take care of their babies and ensures they can provide the right support at home.
In partnership with a Japanese training school, we provide advanced caregiver training focused on elderly and bedridden patients. This program benefits employers with elderly family members, as it covers personal hygiene, medication reminders, mobility assistance, and emotional support. This ensures our helpers can care for seniors and sick family members with skill, patience, and professionalism.
AP Sands follows all legal requirements for hiring Filipino domestic helpers in Malaysia. We coordinate with both Malaysian and Philippines authorities to ensure proper documentation and a transparent hiring process.
We follow the salary guidelines set by the Philippine government. At present, the approved minimum salary for Filipino domestic helpers is USD 400, or equivalent to RM1,800, for 26 working days with one day off per week. Employers who wish their maid to work on a day off need to compensate her RM70 per day.
The Philippines government has announced an upcoming minimum wage increase for domestic helpers to USD 500, as stated in the "Implementation of the New Minimum Monthly Salary of US$500 for Filipino Domestic Workers Abroad," under DMW Memorandum Circular No. 03 (Series of 2025). A six-month transition period has been provided for employers to gradually adjust salaries from the current USD 400 rate. By April or May 2026, the new salary rate will take full effect.
